Carl Yssel
Partner
Carl’s expertise lie within employee benefits with a strong focus on health care actuarial, product development and pricing. He has extensive mergers and acquisitions experience, assisting medical schemes in achieving their long-term objectives through appropriate amalgamations and subsequent product, operational and managed care alignment.
Carl specialises in developing turnaround strategies for insurers and schemes looking to strengthen their financial position. These strategies consider the complex regulatory and operational environments, and remain solutions focused and realistic.

Wesley Ncube
Managing Partner
Wesley is a financial services professional, with experience in a wide range of fields including life insurance, employee benefits, banking, investments, consulting and actuarial.
He has management experience leading teams of up to 15 individuals of varied experience levels and competencies, including highly technical teams such as special projects (actuarial) teams, pensions consulting and administrative regional offices. He has been a managing member of regional executive committees, reporting to Group Executive Committees and Group Managing Directors in multi-national organizations.
Wesley has a sound understanding of risk management, product development, insurance and investments who has worked for large organizations and understands how to interact with various stakeholders for delivery. His expertise goes beyond technical knowledge and has included understanding different businesses, setting, monitoring and improving their strategies in established and new markets.
He has worked primarily in Africa, particularly South Africa, but has knowledge of other countries including the UK that have significantly different business and regulatory environments.
He is a part qualified actuary with the Actuarial Society of South Africa having nearly completed his Associate Actuary exams.
He has worked with life insurance businesses, retirement schemes as well as in short term insurance including Social Security Schemes, healthcare and employee benefits.

Evan has a wide range of experience. From assisting the South African Music Rights Organisation (SAMRO) to redeveloping their royalty distribution system to developing medical scheme long-term funding strategies. Evan has seen all angles of strategic consulting and thrives on distilling strategic problems into practical real world solutions.
Evan is foremost a problem-solver, combining a strong technical skillset together with a broader business and risk mind set to underpin this.
